Zonta Membership Scholarship
In effort to help prepare a new generation of leaders, The Zonta Club of Joliet offers a one-year fully-paid membership to The Club to a student who is selected for the honor.

Scholarship recipients will be assigned a mentor from the club membership to help learn information about the Zonta mission of service and the history of the local club. They will gain invaluable insight and experience through opportunities that demonstrate how women worldwide improve and advance their economic, legal and political status.
Eligibility
The applicant must have an affiliation with the Zonta Club of Joliet by being a scholarship recipient or Z Club member, or the applicant must be interested in learning more about Zonta and be recommend by a Zonta member. The applicant must be a full-time or part-time student. The applicant must complete an application that includes a recommendation from a Zonta member, employer or teacher. The applicant must also agree to an interview with the Zonta Membership Committee.

Membership Commitment
The applicant chosen for the scholarship must agree to the following:

Attend at least 8 monthly dinner meetings

Participate in a community service program

Serve on a Club committee of choice

Prepare and present an end of the year essay that describes “what the year of Zonta membership has meant to me.” The essay should include most memorable lessons learned and which activities were most meaningful.
