It's the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Zonta Club of Joliet Area! The Club has been empowering women and girls through service and advocacy, both locally and globally since 1973.
On October 19th, we look forward to celebrating our success over the past five decades, at the newly opened Illinois Rock & Roll Museum on Route 66 in downtown Joliet, with special honors for our two charter members who have been with the club since the beginning, Dr. Patricia Miller and Carmie Castagna.
The event's program will be emceed by local leader Denise Winfrey, and includes a special tribute to the late Tina Turner, who overcame domestic abuse and fought against domestic violence by giving a voice to the voiceless.
Zonta is on the move and our future is bright. During the next 50 years, we will be taking our mission to even greater heights and broader impact within our community. There is so much more to come!
Please join us for a wonderful evening, and help us to write the next chapter of Zonta’s history as we continue to empower women and girls and expand their access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and safe living conditions.
