The 2019-2020 Woman of the Year award was given to member, Donna Zanzola. Donna has been a member since 1995 and has been very involved with the club, most recently serving as Chair of the Archives Committee. She was an integral part of the Club’s joint 100 year celebration with the Kiwanis Club of Joliet event, collecting and organizing mementos and pictures of the Zonta Club of Joliet Area’s history and displaying it all beautifully at the joint event held at the Joliet City Museum on February 13, 2020.
This year’s celebration was different from past years due to Covid-19.Zonta members met on May 11, 2020 and held a car parade past Donna's house and she, along with
her husband Al and neighbors, celebrated outside. Zonta Club of Joliet Area’s President, Helen Hester-Ross presented Donna with a plaque and flowers.
