Adulting 101 Webinar for Senior Girls – Registration Open
Female high school seniors and college students are invited to attend an interactive webinar designed to teach the basics that adults wish they learned earlier in life, but were never taught. “Adulting 101 – Surviving and Thriving” talks about the topics of sex, consent, safety apps, mental health, diversity, allyship, the importance selecting friends who reflect your values, and more.
Speakers are Dr. Susan Scanlon, Board Certified Gynecologist and author of the Gyne’s Guide for College Women; Julie Edwards, Director of Health Promotion at the University of Chicago; and Allison Heard, USF’s Director of Institutional Diversity. Moderated by Guadalupe Medina, JJC student leader, Joliet Central alumna, and the first Zonta member scholarship recipient.
The event is sponsored by the Zonta Club of the Joliet Area and was designed specifically for female high school seniors and college students in our area through a partnership with Joliet Township High School, University of St. Francis, University of Chicago, and student representation from Joliet Junior College.
